This site contains the latest research referencing my family genealogy. The only thing that I know to be true is that the more time I spend researching and adding to this huge family, the more I am convinced that we are all related. This lifelong obsession to finding my family was instilled in me by my grandmother, Helen Keen Bishop. As a child and young man, I was fortunate to be able to know and learn from this remarkable woman. She shared with me a book which she owned, about the history of her family, the Keen family, from Keenes, Illinois. This wonderful book was written by another family member, Harry Keen. What was so impressive about Harry's book, was that Harry had written the book long before the internet, computers or word processors existed. He took the time to research, find stories, meet people, and manually organize his records before putting this great story together. Today, most of us do our research from home, scouring the internet for bits and pieces provided by people like Harry, who did all the work before us. From that point in time forward, I was hooked on learning everything about my family. Learning the stories, the history, learning about life and challenges shared by all through our past generations. So here I am, almost 20 years later, still looking, still learning, still amazed at the stories I continue to find.
